Whatever the season, Hamsterley Forest will delight the senses of the visitor with its colours, peace, birdsong & wildlife. From deep shadowy forest, with cathedral like space and silence under the pine trees, to open moorland - lush and green in the spring, russets and reds in the Autumn, the Forest is sure to delight even the most jaded of visitors.

For Mountain Bike enthusiasts in particular, there is ongoing investment into making Hamsterley Forest one of the foremost MTB sites in the country.

Descend are building on an existing facility with the near future aim to provide a multi discipline venue that will raise the profile of the sport and range of disciplines that are growing in demand, from grass roots and novice riders to full on race freaks.
